New FMLA Forms with FFCRA Guidelines as Per DOL!

Recorded Session
90 Minutes

The Department of Labor issued revised FMLA forms after asking the public, through a Request for Information, how well the FMLA regulations were working. At the same time, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), built on the FMLA, created paid sick leave under certain criteria and expanded leave for employees who couldn't work because of school closures during COVID-19.

This 90-minute webinar reviews the FMLA form changes, the topics raised by the RFI, when the new forms could be used and how the pandemic affected FMLA. It explains how the FMLA and FFCRA interacted, FFCRA eligibility factors, pay rate calculations, leave for caring for a quarantined family member, certification and how to apply.

It also covers employees reluctant to return to work and furloughs vs layoffs.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

Employers faced fast-changing leave rules during the pandemic, with FMLA overlapping the FFCRA and the ADA's reasonable accommodation duties. Clear, accurate information helped them communicate with employees about health, safety and paid leave.

This session suits employers of all sizes, business owners, company leadership, compliance and payroll professionals, HR professionals, managers and supervisors.
